Grammy Awards 2014: Daft Punk and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis win big
Daft Punk and hip-hop duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were the big winners at the 56th annual Grammy awards on Sunday night, taking home four gongs each.
The French electronic duo were awarded the biggest prize of the evening, Album of The Year, for their fourth studio album, Random Access Memories.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis won best new artist and received three awards in the rap field, including best Best Rap Album for The Heist and Best Rap Song for Thrift Shop.
Elsewhere, Justin Timberlake won three awards, while New Zealand’s Lorde won Song of the Year and Pop Solo Performance for Royals.

- Best Rock Song: “Cut Me Some Slack,” Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Pat Smear, and Krist Novoselic
- Best Pop Solo Performance: “Royals,” Lorde
- Best Rap/Sung Collaboration: “Holy Grail,” Jay Z Featuring Justin Timberlake
- Best Pop Vocal Album: Unorthodox Jukebox, Bruno Mars
- Best Country Album: Same Trailer Different Park, Kacey Musgraves
- Song Of The Year: “Royals,” Lorde and Joel Little
- Record Of The Year: “Get Lucky,” Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers
