Green Day are playing British Summer Time in London next year

After selling out the UK leg of their Revolution Radio tour, Green Day have confirmed they’ll be headlining British Summer Time in Hyde Park on 1 July 2017.

Green Day announced they’ll be playing an additional Revolution Radio tour date at the BST festival in London’s Hyde Park next summer, as the festival looks set to offer fans another bumper year of outdoor live music.

Tickets for the band’s tour were hot property last month, with the three UK dates selling out in just a matter of minutes.

News of the British Summer Time addition comes as good news for die hard fans then, who may have missed out on the previously announced dates. Plus, at BST, there’s the added bonus of getting the see the punk-rock powerhouse outside during the height of summer.

Green Day are the first act announced by the festival for their 2017 line-up. Previous headliners have included such diverse acts as Taylor Swift, Neil Young, Take That and Stevie Wonder.
