Guns N’ Roses are the third and final headliners confirmed for Download Festival 2018. The festival will arrive at Donington Park on the 8 June next year.

The rock titans join the already confirmed Ozzy Osbourne and Avenged Sevenfold at the top of the bill, with Guns N’ Roses taking the Saturday headline slot. Avenged Sevenfold will close proceedings on the Friday, with Ozzy Osbourne rounding off the festival on the Sunday.

The UK’s premiere rock and metal festival, Download Festival will run at the spiritual home of rock, Donington Park, from the 8 – 11 June 2018. Loads more acts are set to be announced in the run-up to the event.

Last year saw headliners System of a Down, Biffy Clyro and Aerosmith entertain the masses over the course of the weekend.

Guns N’ Roses first appeared at Download Festival to headline the event in 2006, alongside Tool and Metallica. To date, it’s the one and only time the band have appeared at the festival.

The band, fronted by the enigmatic Axl Rose, currently includes fellow founding members Slash and Duff McKagen.

Guns N’ Roses have released six albums to date, most recently Chinese Democracy in 2008.

They’ll be joined by Avenged Sevenfold and Ozzy Osbourne.

It’s not the first time Avenged Sevenfold take to the headline slot at Download Festival, having done so previously in 2014 alongside Linkin Park and Aerosmith. 2018 will mark their fourth appearance at the iconic festival, having first played the main stage back in 2006.

Fans can expect to hear the biggest songs from their seven album history, including Beast and the Harlot, Bat Country, Nightmare and The Stage.

Ozzy first headlined Download Festival with Black Sabbath in 2005, flanked by fellow bill-toppers Feeder and System of a Down. They returned in 2010 to headline the Sunday, preceded by The Prodigy on the Friday, and Metallica on the Saturday.

Black Sabbath returned in 2016, with Rammstein and Iron Maiden rounding off the weekend’s headliners.

2018 will mark the first year Ozzy Osbourne will headline the festival solo.
