Harry Potter in concert set to tour across the UK

Harry Potter fans will be able to watch the first in the film series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, accompanied by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.

The performances from part of the Harry Potter Film Concert Series which has been pairing live orchestration with the iconic films across the globe since 2016.

Reaching the UK in September 2019, the live experience will see the film accompanied by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra performing John Williams’ rousing score.

To date, the Harry Potter Film Concert Series has welcomed more than 1.3 million fans into J.K. Rowling’s magical world. This year, the series will deliver 900 performances in over 48 countries.

The newly announced UK dates kick off in Manchester on Saturday 7 September 2019, and include two nights at London’s Royal Festival Hall.

“The Harry Potter film series is a once-in-a-lifetime cultural phenomenon that continues to delight millions of fans around the world,” says Concert Producer Brady Beaubien. “It is with great pleasure that we bring fans for the first time ever an opportunity to experience the award-winning music scores played live by a symphony orchestra, all while the beloved film is simultaneously projected onto the big screen. This is truly an unforgettable event.”

The film, released in 2001, helped introduce the unlikely wizard to further audiences worldwide. It follows Harry Potter who, on his 11th birthday, discovers his true lineage as the son of two wizards and travels to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, embarking on an epic journey that would span a further seven films based on a total of seven books.
