Headliners announced for Summer Series at Somerset House

11 special headline shows have been announced for Summer Series at Somerset House.

Running from 6 – 16 July 2017, Somerset House will host 11 headline shows as part of their Summer Series. It mirrors the iconic venue’s dedication to world-class music, this year celebrating appearances by bands from artists from the UK, US, Jamaica, Mali and Lebanon.

GRAMMY Award winner Norah Jones will make her only London appearance of 2017 to open proceedings, following by fellow awardee Damian Marley. Electronic collective The Cinematic Orchestra join the fold, having worked with the likes of Beck, Solange and James Blake.

Having recently made their return onto the scene, Goldfrapp join the bill, as do LA natives Warpaint. Keyboarding Robert Glasper will being his jazz project, The Robert Glasper Experiment, to Somerset House on the 11 July 2017.

Having released her debut at the young age of 14, Birdy arrives at Summer Series five years later, marking her this year’s youngest headliner. The following day will see energetic indie rockers Foster The People take on headline duties.

South London multi-instrumentalist Tom Misch will lead a whole host of special guests on the 14 July, with five-strong indie band from Beirut, Mashrou’ Leila, and Malian four-piece Songhoy Blues closing proceedings on the 15 and 16 July respectively.

General tickets will range in price from £29.50 plus booking fee to £40 plus booking fee depending on the event.
