The Killers have been added to TRNSMT 2018, alongside CHVRCHES and Franz Ferdinand. All three, plus many more to be announced, will take to the festival in Glasgow on Sunday 8 July 2018.

Following the huge success of the inaugural TRNSMT last summer, the festival is not only returning to Glasgow Green for a second edition, but the experience is also being extended. For 2018 organisers have announced that TRNSMT will be staged from 29 June – 1 July, plus on 6 and 8 July. That means you can expect five exciting days of events featuring some of the best music talent from around the world.

The second wave of acts revealed last week includes Stereophonics tapped to headline the festival’s opening day on 29 June. Liam Gallagher will lead the charge on the 30 June.

Veteran Welsh rockers Stereophonics have six UK No.1 albums to their name. Stereophonics’ 10th record, Scream Above the Sounds, just came out at the end of October, about 20 years after the band first broke through with their debut Word Gets Around. Known for his throaty rasp, frontman Kelly Jones has one of the coolest voices in rock’n’roll. Don’t miss hearing him perform old favourites mixed with new material, like All in One Night, the lead single from their latest album.

And that’s not all! Helping Stereophonics get the party started at TRNSMT are Irish trio The Script, Hertfordshire troubadour James Bay and soulful vocalist Jessie J.

The Killers and Stereophonics are joining the festival’s impressive and ever increasing line-up, which will also welcome Liam Gallagher. The former Oasis singer has had an incredible year selling out shows across the globe. His debut solo album, As You Were, also came out in October and shot to No.1 on the UK charts. The first headliner confirmed, Gallagher will appear at TRNSMT’s second day on 30 June, along with Manchester indie band Courteeners, North London alt-rockers Wolf Alice and grime star J Hus.

We were there last year at the first ever TRNSMT festival which was headlined by Radiohead, Kasabian and Biffy Clyro, and we’re looking forward to being part of the unique vibe and electric atmosphere again.

With more huge acts yet to be revealed, TRNSMT’s sophomore edition is sure to be one of the biggest and best events in the 2018 summer festival calendar.
