Queen + Adam Lambert have been added as the final headliners for this year’s TRNSMT Festival, joining the previously announced Stereophonics, Liam Gallagher, Arctic Monkeys and The Killers.

The rock legends, with Adam Lambert taken on Freddie Mercury’s vocal duties, last toured the UK in November and December last year, including two shows in England’s capital.

Fans can expect performances of classic tracks such as Bohemian Rhapsody and Somebody To Love, as well as others from the band’s extensive back-catalogue.

Queen, originally fronted by Freddie Mercury until his untimely death in 1991, have been touring with Adam Lambert at the helm since 2011. Lambert rose to fame in the eighth series of American Idol, having since gone on to have solo success and stage credits, as well as touring with the rock icons.

Queen + Adam Lambert will be joined by Texas, The Darkness and The Temperance movement.

Following the huge success of the inaugural TRNSMT last summer, the festival is not only returning to Glasgow Green for a second edition, but the experience is also being extended. For 2018, TRNSMT will be staged from 29 June – 1 July, plus on 6 and 8 July. That means you can expect five exciting days of events featuring some of the best music talent from around the world.

Streophonics, Liam Gallagher and Arctic Monkeys will headline the first weekend, from the 29 – 1 July.

Queen + Adam Lambert will perform on Friday 6 July, with The Killers rounding off proceedings on Sunday 8 July.

And that’s not all! Helping Stereophonics get the party started at TRNSMT are Irish trio The Script, Hertfordshire troubadour James Bay and soulful vocalist Jessie J.

Arctic Monkeys, The Killers and Stereophonics previously join the impressive line-up, which will also welcome Liam Gallagher. The former Oasis singer had an incredible 2017, selling out shows across the globe. His debut solo album, As You Were, also came out in October 2017 and shot to No.1 on the UK charts. As the first headliner confirmed late last year, Gallagher will appear at TRNSMT’s second day on 30 June, along with Manchester indie band Courteeners, North London alt-rockers Wolf Alice and grime star J Hus.
