“Since we launched the Gaydio Dance Arena it has proven to be massively popular, not only with our audience but also with the DJ’s that we’ve been able to attract to come and play for us,” Mark Fletcher, chief executive for Manchester Pride, said.

“Every year I really look forward to visiting this unique space at the end of the day and taking in the atmosphere. It’s something very different from the rest of The Big Weekend, and from any other Pride celebration that I’ve attended. Something feels very Mancunian about it.

“It’s brilliant to have such well renowned credible names from the word of Dance music coming out to support the event and celebrate LGBT life in the City. It’s also great to see Ben Pearce back on the bill after he took some time out last year – we know our audience will be thrilled.”

The full list of names announced are:

Faithless (DJ Set) | Simian Mobile Disco | Danny Howard | Crazy P’s Danielle Moore | Ben Pearce | DJ Paulette | Anton Powers | Jeremy Healy | Jodie Harsh | Shaun J Wright | Kriss Herbert

The latest names join the previously confirmed appearances by Melanie C, Louisa Johnson, Saara Sofia Aalto, as well as a DJ set by Gok Wan and by Hercules and Love Affair vocalist Shaun J Wright.

The Big Weekend – which includes The Manchester Pride Parade and The Candlelit Vigil – is shaping up to be another unforgettable, joyful and positive festival event. It takes place on 25 – 28 August at Manchester’s famous Gay Village.

Last year a wide range of artists came out to perform and party while Manchester Pride raised a record-breaking £149,000 to benefit LGBT and HIV causes in the region.
