IDLES have announced four headline shows later this year, culminating in a huge show at London’s Alexandra Palace on Saturday 7 December 2019.

The band will take to Glasgow, Manchester and Leeds before performing in England’s capital.

The dates follow a busy summer of festival appearances, and continue to celebrate the release of last year’s acclaimed Joy As An Act of Resistance. They end a year which also saw the Bristol five-piece secure a BRIT nomination for Best Breakthrough Act.

Upon release Joy As An Act Of Resistance broke into the top five on the official UK album chart, spawning singles such as Danny Nedelko and Never Fight a Man with a Perm.

IDLES turned heads with 2017’s Brutalism, a ferocious critique of modern British society. Their music is underpinned by socially conscious lyrics and vocalist Joe Talbot’s visceral anger.

Most recently the band unveiled new track Mercedes Marxist which sees a physical release on 7 August 2019 alongside b-side I Dream Guillotine.

Their live career has not only seen them support the likes of The Macabees and Foo Fighters, but also celebrate acclaim from fans and critics for their equally thunderous live show.

This summer, IDLES have already taken to the likes of All Points East Festival ahead of Bring Me The Horizon, and have a number of big stage appearances ahead.

Come December 2019, the band will kick off their newly announced headline run at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom on Tuesday 3 December 2019.
