Comprising mostly of songs from their fifth album Rally Cry, Canadian rockers Arkells performed at their first ever UK festival last weekend, at TRNSMT in Glasgow.

Shortly after their set on the festival’s King Tut’s Stage, Max from the band sits down to chat about their excitement for playing their first ever UK festival shows, and how they’ve been enjoying playing tracks from Rally Cry live.

Forming in 2006, Arkells have grown into one of the biggest rock bands in their home country, and in recent years have been expanding their fan base throughout the rest of the world.

In October 2019 the band released their latest album Rally Cry, featuring the singles People’s Champ and Relentless.

Earlier this year the band played their biggest headline show to date, at the nearly 20,000 capacity Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada.

Arkells will be performing a handful of dates across the UK this summer.

Catch the band at the following shows:

25 July 2019 – ULU, London
26 July 2019 – Kendall Calling Festival, Penrith
