Interview: The Dunts on latest single Bad Decisions
We spoke to the band backstage at TRNSMT Festival.
The Dunts are buzzing.
The Scottish indie-punks have just walked off stage at TRNSMT Festival, where thousands of fans flocked to watch the four-piece tear apart the King Tut’s Stage.
It’s a landmark moment for the band, whose popularity has been rapidly growing both north and south of the border over the past two years.
First appearing with their single Coalition of Chaos in 2017, The Dunts have continued to release politically charged tracks in the time since, garnering praise from the likes of Annie Mac and NME.
Earlier this summer the band dropped their newest tune Bad Decisions. An evolution from some of their earlier work, the song sees The Dunts incorporate more melodic elements into their sound whilst maintaining their punk sensibilities that first captured the imagination of their fans.
Continuing their rise to stardom, The Dunts will embark on their biggest headline tour to date later this year including a sold out stop at Glasgow’s 700 capacity The Garage.
We caught up with the band backstage at TRSNMT Festival to discuss their new single Bad Decisions, what Glasgow is like for emerging bands and what fans coming to their upcoming tour can expect.
