Interview: Zoe Graham on Glasgow’s supportive scene

The musician will perform at this year's Tenement Trail.

One of the defining features of the most recent TRNSMT Festival was the inclusion of their first-ever Queen Tut’s Stage. Featuring a curated all-female line-up, the stage was designed to promote local talent as well as trying to address the gender imbalance seen at festivals across the world.

Chosen to headline the first-ever Queen Tut’s Stage was Glasweigen musician Zoe Graham.

Learning her trade in the city’s grassroots venues, Zoe released her debut EP Hacket & Knackered last year to critical acclaim.

The success of the release has seen the musician earn support slots with the likes of Rae Morris, Kate Nash and The Proclaimers.

Backstage at TRNSMT Festival in August, Zoe details what Glasgow is like for an upcoming artist, what it was like to support Kate Nash and reveals what she’s got in the pipeline.

You can catch Zoe perform live in Glasgow on Saturday 12 October at the upcoming Tenement Trail – a multi-venue music festival that promotes new music talent. Find out more HERE
