We catch up with the band's Stéfane Mellino ahead of their 30th Anniversary shows.
Following their recent massively successful global tour in support of their 16th studio album The Book of Souls, Iron Maiden have today announced they will once again take to the road in 2018 for a series of arena and festival shows across Europe as part of their Legacy of the Beast world tour.
The UK dates kick off in July next summer, at Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena before taking in cities including Aberdeen, Manchester and Birmingham, and then culminating in a huge show at the O2 Arena in London on 10 August.
The concept for the Legacy of the Beast tour was inspired by Maiden’s mobile game and comic book of the same name and the stage set design will feature a number of different but interlocking “worlds” with a set list covering a large selection of ‘80s material with a handful of surprises from later albums to add diversity.
Joining the band on tour will be American metalcore outfit Killswitch Engage as special guests for the UK dates.
Full UK dates are below:
31 July 2018 – Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle
4 August 2018 – BGHE Arena, Aberdeen
6 August 2018 – Manchester Arena
7 August 2018 – Genting Arena, Birmingham
10 August 2018 – The O2, London
