James Blake has confirmed a handful of brand new UK headline dates.
The newly announced tour will see the enigmatic multi-instrumentalist take to the stage in Manchester, Bristol and London in Apil 2019.
The shows will offer the fans their first chance to see Blake perform tracks from his upcoming Assume Form, which is due for release on 18 January 2018.
Since breaking through with his self-titled debut album in 2011, James Blake has become one of the most respected musicians of his generation. The record, which peaked at No.2 on the Official UK Albums Chart, features the singles Limit to Your Love, The Wilhelm Scream and Lindisfarne/Unluck, and was also nominated for the 2011 Mercury Prize.
Since his debut, James Blake has gone onto release two more studio albums, 2013’s Overgrown and 2016’s The Colour In Anything, the former earning Blake the Mercury Prize. Over the past few years, the genre-defying musician and producer has also gone onto work with artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Bon Iver, Chance The Rapper and Frank Ocean.
After teasing fans with the album’s title on sites in Los Angeles, New York and London, Blake confirmed he is currently gearing up for the release of his fourth studio album Assume Form. The record will feature guest appearances from the likes of Andre 3000 and Travis Scott and is due for release on Friday 18 January 2019. Blake has released one single from the record so far. UK fans will get the first chance to see songs from James Blake’s new album Assume Form when he hits the road in April.
