Kasabian join Muse as Reading & Leeds headliners

Leicester rockers Kasabian have just been announced as Reading & Leeds Festival‘s second headliner for the bank holiday weekend.

Reading & Leeds Festival is shaping up to be one good-looking festival this year with Kasabian headlining alongside Muse. Also joining the line-up on 25 – 27 August 2017 are Two Door Cinema Club, Flume, Fatboy Slim, Wiley, Circa Waves, Jimmy Eat World, The Amity Affliction and Rat Boy.

“It’s been five years, and as a band we have come a long way since then. We’re looking forward to playing tunes from the new record and bringing the mosh pit to Reading & Leeds Festival!” Kasabian said.

Their sixth studio album is set for release this spring and with this UK festival exclusive the band mark their return to Reading & Leeds after five years. Kasabian’s unmistakable modern-day rock’n’roll anthems have seen them reinvent themselves from the vintage classics of West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, through to the electro-infused party starters of recent album 48:13.

Today’s announcement marks the second wave of huge bands set to take the stages at Richfield Avenue and Bramham Park this summer as they join the previously announced headliner Muse and Major Lazer, Bastille, At the Drive In, Architects, Torey Lanez, Glass Animals, Against the Current, Danny Brown, Andy C and While She Sleeps.

We already can’t wait for the third wave of artists, so make sure you don’t miss this year’s Reading & Leeds Festival with tickets on sale now via Ticketmaster.co.uk.
