Katherine Jenkins OBE has announced UK dates for An Evening with Katherine Jenkins in April and May 2019. Throughout the majority of the tour, she will be joined by The London Concert Orchestra, who Jenkins has been working with for the past two years on other concert series. The Ulster Orchestra will be supporting her Irish dates.

The news comes after the announcement of her new album, Guiding Light, due to be released on Friday 30 November 2018 via Decca Records.

The 15-track album will feature some of Jenkin’s favourites new tracks such as Make Me a Channel of Your Peace and Morning Has Broken, as well as covers of recent hits like Stormzy’s Blinded By Your Grace and Never Enough from The Greatest Showman which she performed at this year’s Classic Brit Awards. The album will also have original material including a song she penned for her son who was born earlier this year – Xander’s Song.

Born in Neath, Wales, Jenkins has become one of the Britain’s bestselling artist and has gained huge success globally. Between the years 2004 to 2008, six of her seven albums claimed the top spot of the UK classical charts.

Her first album, Premiere, was the start of her success as this made her the fastest-selling mezzo-soprano to date. During that period she also became the first British classical crossover singer to have two No. 1 albums in the same year.

She has also won two Classical Brit Awards – the first in 2005 with Second Nature and the second in following year with Living A Dream – making her the first female artist to win two consecutive Classical Brit Awards.

In 2017, Classical FM crowned her the No.1 selling Classical Music Artist of the Last 25 Years. She also made chart history with her last album, Celebration, as it was her 12th album to reach the No.1 spot in 12 years.
