The organisers of bluedot have today confirmed more artists for 2019’s edition of the festival.
The award-winning science and culture festival returns to Chesire’s iconic Jodrell Bank Observatory from 18 – 21 July 2019.
Leading today’s announcement is the news that Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker will be appearing at the festival on Saturday 20 July 2019.
The announcement also sees Sons of Kemet, Derrick Carter’s Cosmic Disco, comedian John Robins and loads more join the line-up.
bluedot have also announced the first names for its science and culture programme. Key speakers will include the UK’s first astronaut Dr Helen Sharman, veteran science broadcaster James Burke, spaceflight expert Libby Jackson and loads more.
Hot Chip, Kraftwerk and New Order will headline bluedot 2019.
Other artists already announced for the three-day event include John Hopkins, 808 State, Omar Souleyman, John Grant, and Anna Calvi.
Now in its fourth year, the groundbreaking festival has previously seen headline performances from The Chemical Brothers, Pixies, The Flaming Lips, Underworld and Jean-Michel Jarre, as well as talks from high-profile individuals such as Brian Cox, Richard Dawkins, Alice Roberts and Dallas Campbell.
