Lewis Capaldi is going on tour later this year

Here's what you need to know.

Lewis Capaldi is going on tour later this year in support of the release of his debut album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, which is set to drop on 17 May 2019.

Breaking through in 2017 with a series of tracks and EPs written in his bedroom, Lewis Capaldi has grown into becoming one of the most exciting songwriters in UK music.

His infectious songwriting has earned him plaudits from outlets such as Radio 1, Vevo and Beats 1, as well as earning the Glaswegian tour support slots for the likes of Niall Horan, Sam Smith and Kodaline.

Last autumn, Lewis made his biggest mark on the industry yet when dropped the single Grace. The song received extensive radio play in the UK and the official video for the track, in which Lewis fills in for a friend working in a gentlemen’s club, has been viewed over three million times.

Lewis is currently enjoying his highest chart position to date, with his achingly beautiful tune Someone You Loved sat at No.3 on the Official UK Singles Chart.

Lewis has also just wrapped up supporting Bastille on their sold-out UK tour, including two shows at O2 Academy Brixton.

The singer-songwriter has just announced that his debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, will be released via Virgin EMI on 17 May 2019. The album, which was recorded over 18 months in London, Los Angeles and New York, will feature fan-favourite tracks Grace and Someone You Loved.

This newly announced tour will give fans the opportunity to hear songs from the album live for the first time.
