The north’s Creamfields festival is returning to Finsbury Park in 2019.
The legendary Nile Rodgers will be bringing CHIC to four seaside and stately home locations in England this summer.
The evening of disco, dance, hip-hop and rock will take to Scarborough Open Air Theatre on the 24 June 2018 before taking to Northumberland, Leicestershire and Lancashire in July.
Renowned for dance floor fillers Everybody Dance, Le Freak and Good Times, Nile Rodgers & CHIC have enjoyed global success for over forty years.
In March 2015, Nile Rodgers revealed his first new material with CHIC in 23 years, I’ll Be There.
“Nile Rodgers and CHIC are the epitome of cool dance music,” says event organiser Peter Taylor. “These are global superstars who are both adored by their fans and hailed as innovators by their peers.”
New York based Grammy Award winner Nile Rodgers has celebrated success both as an artist and producer, working across a range of genres. His work has seen him inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and the Songwriter’s Hall Of Fame, having produced work by the likes of Diana Ross, David Bowie, and Madonna. He has also collaborated with Daft Punk, Avicci and Sigala in recent years.
CHIC rose to fame in the 1970s, led by Nile Rodgers and the since departed Bernard Edwards.
