Following their recently completed sold out UK tour, Peter Doherty & The Puta Madres have confirmed they’ll be hitting the road again this spring.

The newly announced shows kick off in Bristol on 5 May 2019 before heading to Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham and London.

The latest project from the enigmatic Peter Doherty, the tour coincides with the release of the band’s self-titled debut album, due for release on Friday 26 April 2019.

The album was recorded over four days last summer at a family home in the fishing village in Normandy. The record was produced by longtime friend and manager Jai Stanley and all of the songs that feature on the LP were road tested over the past 18 months at live shows and festivals.

Alongside original tracks written by Doherty, the record will also feature reworked versions of classics such as Oasis’ Don’t Look Back In Anger and the Velvet Underground’s Ride Into The Sun.

One of British music’s most iconic frontmen, Peter Doherty is best known for his work with The Libertines. The indie-rockers have released three albums so far, 2002’s Up The Bracket, 2004’s The Libertines and 2015’s Anthems For The Doomed Youth. Some of The Libertines most popular tracks include Don’t Look Back into the Sun, What Became of the Likely Lads and Can’t Stand Me Now.
