Preview: How to plan your day at Slam Dunk Festival 2015

If you listen closely this week, you may be able to hear the rustling as thousands of punk, rock, metal and ska fans prepare for the annual pilgrimage to Slam Dunk Festival 2015.

This year’s antics – headed up by You Me At Six, Taking Back Sunday, Architects, Reel Big Fish, The Wonder Years, The Bronx and Moose Blood – roll into Leeds on Saturday 23 May, Hatfield on Sunday 24 May and Wolverhampton on bank holiday Monday 25 May.

The line-up is HUGE, so here’s our ultimate guide to get you started…

For fans of… dancing, British rock and massive choruses
You Me At Six are leading a charge of big sing-alongs on Slam Dunk’s Main Stage, joined by the likes of Taking Back Sunday, Don Broco and Lower Than Atlantis. It all kicks off with PVRIS and Set It Off – two of the most infectious bands of the day.

For fans of… metal, breakdowns and riffs
Architects are moving their attention to writing a new album, but not before they’ve given Lost Forever // Lost Together some final loving at Slam Dunk. They’ll be joined on the Monster Energy stage by the likes of While She Sleeps, Finch, Beartooth and Bury Tomorrow. You may want to limber up before this lot take hold.

Beartooth - In Between (Official Music Video)

For fans of… emo, pop-punk and acoustic
Moose Blood are playing Slam Dunk for the first time, and they’ve only gone and got themselves a headline billing on the Fresh Blood stage. With This Wild Life, Rob Lynch, Seaway and Trash Boat in tow, this is basically the cosiest place to spend your day. Just be prepared for Baby Godzilla to totally rock the boat.

Moose Blood - I Hope You're Missing Me (Official Music Video)

For fans of… ska, ska and, er, ska
Goldfinger are finally coming to Slam Dunk and it’s going to be AMAZING. Settled in on the Desperados stage with Reel Big Fish, Millencolin, Zebrahead and Mariachi El Bronx, this is where all the dancing happens. We’re placing our bets for this to be the happiest place at the entire festival. *insert trumpet emoji*

Zebrahead - I'm Just Here For The Free Beer (Official Live Video)

For fans of… pop-punk, pizza and fist-pumping
This year’s Macbeth stage welcomes the best pop-punk band of our generation in headliners The Wonder Years, who are visiting the UK for the first time this year. Sets from Bayside, Cartel, Such Gold, Transit, Roam and As It Is ensure this is the only place to po-go this weekend.

The Wonder Years - Dismantling Summer (Official Music Video)

For fans of… hardcore, punk and mosh pits
The Impericon stage promises to take no prisoners this year, headed up by The Bronx and Gallows. Anyone with a penchant for angry vocals, gnarly riffs and hair-raising breakdowns needs to turn out for the likes of Comeback Kid, Bane, Trash Talk and Dead Harts.

Comeback Kid - Didn't Even Mind
