Scandinavian Queen tribute band Queen Machine have announced details of their debut UK tour.

The band will be accompanied by West End and Broadway star Kerry Ellis and the London Symphonic Rock Orchestra in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Derby, Manchester, London, Cardiff and Leeds throughout April 2020.

Regularly performing to sold-out crowds, Denmark’s Queen Machine are considered one of the most popular touring bands in their home country and neighbouring Scandinavia. The band have been endorsed by the Official International Queen Fan Club, who describe the group as “quite simply one of THE best Queen tribute bands we have ever had at any of our events”.

Ellis will be well known amongst Queen’s faithful. The performer, described by Queen guitarist Brian May as having “Britain’s most beautiful voice”, originated the role of Meat in the hit musical We Will Rock You based on Queen’s hit songs.

The tour will be conducted by award-winning conductor Matthew Freeman, who originally reworked the music of Queen for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in 2011 as well as conducted the Symphonic Queen concerts at the Royal Albert Hall in 2011 and 2014.

One of the UK’s most celebrated musical exports, Queen, fronted by the iconic Freddie Mercury became a worldwide sensation during the 1970s and ’80s.

The band have sold in excess of 150 million albums worldwide, making them one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Some of Queen’s most well-known tracks include Don’t Stop Me Now, Killer Queen, We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions, Crazy Little Thing Called Love and Bohemian Rhapsody.
