Richard Ashcroft announces 2019 tour dates

He’s heading out on his latest sold-out tour later this month, and now Richard Ashcroft has announced he’ll be hitting the road again in 2019 for a new headline tour in support of his forthcoming fifth studio album Natural Rebel. The new tour kicks off in Portsmouth, taking in a total of nine shows by the time the tour finishes at Olympia, London on Saturday 4 May.

Ashcroft is currently gearing up for the release of his brand new studio album Natural Rebel. The record, the singer-songwriter’s fifth solo-effort is due for release on Friday 19 October and features the singles Surprised by The Joy and Born To Be Strangers.

Originally finding fame as frontman of The Verve, Ashcroft has released four solo albums in his career thus far. His last record, 2016’s These People was his first musical endeavour in ten years and marked a much welcome return for the frontman. The album charted at No.3 in the UK albums chart and earned the singer-songwriter an NME Awards nomination.

The Verve are best known for their 1997 album Urban Hymns. The record, featuring the hit singles Bitter Sweet Symphony, Lucky Man and The Drugs Don’t Work has been certified platinum in both the US and UK and was ranked as the tenth best British album of all-time by a poll conducted by Q Magazine and HMV.

Richard Ashcroft will be bringing Natural Rebel to life in venues across the UK on the following tour dates including his sold-out 2018 run:
