Recorded in sessions across London, Stoke-on-Trent, Los Angeles and Vancouver with longtime collaborator Guy Chambers, The Christmas Present is Robbie Williams’ 13th studio album.

The new double LP is split into two parts – Christmas Past and Christmas Future.

Christmas Past features covers of classic wintry songs, such as Winter Wonderland, Santa Baby featuring German singer Helene Fischer,  Merry Xmas Everybody featuring Jamie Cullum, and It’s A Wonderful Life featuring Robbie’s father, Peter Conway.

Christmas Future features the original tracks Time For Change, Home, Fairytales featuring Rod Stewart, and Bad Sharon featuring boxing champ Tyson Fury.

On the album, Williams comments: “I’ve done a lot in my career and releasing this record is another dream come true. Making this album has been so much fun and I can’t wait for you all to hear it”.

Born in Stoke-on-Trent, Williams first found fame in hugely successful boyband Take That. As the youngest member, he was also branded as the cheeky extrovert of the group. Whilst many of the songs were written by his fellow bandmate Gary Barlow, he frequently took lead vocals, including on songs such as Could It Be Magic and Everything Changes.

Williams left Take That in July 1995 following friction between him, the band and management. The band achieved seven No.1 singles whilst Williams was a member, winning the BRIT Award for Best British Single in 1993 for Could I Be Magic and again in 1994 for Pray.

He then launched a solo career, starting off with a cover of George Michael’s Freedom which reached No.2 in the UK singles charts. Since then, Williams has gone on to have huge hits including Let Me Entertainment You, Angels and Rock DJ, and has collaborated with the likes of Kylie Minogue, Nicole Kidman, Pet Shop Boys and Dizzee Rascal.

In July 2010, Williams reunited with Take That. They released an album, Progress, which is the fourth fastest-selling album of all time in the UK. However, with his solo career commitments, he decided not to return to the band.

Williams currently holds the record for the most BRIT Awards won – 13 as a solo artist and 5 with Take That. One of those BRIT Awards is a special recognition award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music, which he took home in 2010. He is one of the biggest-selling artists of all time, racking up over 77 million record sales worldwide.
