Watch Sean McConnell perform a stripped back session

He joins Ashley McBryde on her UK dates in September and October 2019.

American folk and country singer-songwriter Sean McConnell released his ninth studio album, Secondhand Smoke, in February 2019, including singles Here We Go, the album’s title track, and Shaky Bridges.

Ahead of joining fellow stateside country star Ashley McBryde on the road here in the UK, McConnell stopped by Ticketmaster HQ for a stripped back performance of Shaky Bridges. Watch above.

McConnell first emerged onto the country scene at the age of 15 with the release of his debut Here In The Lost And Found, going on to release a further eight albums. He is currently signed to Big Picnic Records, home of Everything Everything, Foxes and The Maine, among others.

He’ll be touring across the UK in late September and early October, supporting Ashley McBryde and celebrating the release of Secondhand Smoke.

McBryde released her acclaimed Girl Going Nowhere last year, including the tracks Home Sweet Highway and Southern Babylon. We caught up with Ashley in early 2018 to find out more about her record and playing live.

Both reach the UK for a handful of dates, kicking off at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 27 September 2019, and including appearances in Manchester, London and Dublin.

Here are those dates:

27 September 2019 – O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, London
29 September 2019 – Manchester Academy 2, Manchester
30 September 2019 – Queen Margaret Union, Glasgow
1 October 2019 – The Academy, Dublin
