Colombian sensation Shakira has confirmed a one-off UK headline show as part of her global tour. She’ll be taking to the capital’s O2 on the 11 June 2018.

It marks the first headline Shakira show on British soil since 2010, when the twelve-time Grammy Award winner sold out The O2 and took to the main stage at Glastonbury Festival.

The show comes in support of last year’s El Dorado album, which reached No.1 on iTunes in 37 countries, and spawned hits La Bicicleta, Chantaje, Me Enamoré and Déjà vu.

Together, her videos helped Shakira become the most streamed female artist on YouTube last year.

Her world tour sees the Hips Don’t Lie singer take to Europe and North America, including the London show, with dates in Latin America to be announced soon.

“I can’t wait to be onstage in London again singing along with all of you, all of your favourites and mine,” Shakira announced. “It’s going to be fun! The road to El Dorado starts now!”

Shakira has released eleven studio albums to date, breaking through into the international mainstream with song Whenever, Wherever from 2001’s Laundry Service. Her music, blending her Latin roots with pop hooks, has seen her pair up with the likes of Wyclef Jean (on Hips Don’t Lie), Carlos Santana, Pitbull, Rihanna and Beyonce.

The Colombian singer will be bringing her hit songs to the UK on the 11 June 2018.

Tickets for Shakira’s headline UK show go on sale at 9:00 on Friday 26 January 2018 through Ticketmaster.co.uk.
