Simple Minds and The Pretenders announce UK tour
Both bands will tour together in the summer of 2018, joined by KT Tunstall.
Simple Minds have announced a series of outdoor UK shows, joined by The Pretenders. KT Tunstall will open the shows.
The Glasgow based rock band, renowned for an impressive back-catalogue including hit songs such as Don’t You (Forget About Me), Alive And Kicking, Belfast Child and Let There Be Love.
Simple Minds have released nineteen studio albums to date, most recently releasing Acoustic, a collection of stripped back versions of music from their lengthy history.
They’ll be playing alongside English-American rock band The Pretenders, originators of the likes of Don’t Get Me Wrong and I’ll Stand By You.
The Pretenders have ten albums to their name, including 2016’s Alone.
Both bands will kick off their UK run at the Kent Showground near Maidstone on the 4 August 2018, running through to Selssor Gardens in Dundee on the 9 September 2018.

8 September 2018 – Northern Meeting Park, Inverness
9 September 2018 – Slessor Gardens, Dundee
