Standon Calling has confirmed details of their BBC Introducing line-up, welcoming Everyone You Know, Connie Constance and CC Smugglers at the top of the bill.

Bringing together a wealth of genres, Everyone You Know are rapidly becoming one of the most unique voices in modern music. They are joined by the accalimed Connie Constance fresh off the back of releasing her debut English Rose earlier this year, and Americana outfit CC Smugglers.

“BBC Introducing have supported our music since we first started, to be able to headline/bring our touring show to the BBC Introducing Stage at Standon Calling is a fantastic opportunity,” the band say.

They join JGrrey, Alexis Kings, Only Sun, Gwen And The Good Thing, Banton, BYFYN and Lydia Maddix on the BBC Introducing Stage.

The main stage at Standon Calling will be headlined by Wolf Alice, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, and Rag’n’Bone Man.

Celebrated as one of the most influential icons in musical history, Nile Rodgers will be bringing his illustrious history of disco and funk to the festival’s main stage, including hits such as Le Freak, Good Times and Everybody Dance.

Nile Rodgers & CHIC released their latest album It’s About Time last year. We caught up with Rodgers at Abbey Road Studios towards the end of 2018 to find out more.

Wolf Alice continue to ride the wave of their Mercury Prize-winning Visions Of A Life, taking them to bigger and bigger stages. Ending 2018 with a UK tour including sold out shows at London’s O2 Academy Brixton, and having wowed audiences at the vast Alexandra Palace, Standon Calling will welcome them to the top of the bill.

Rag’n’Bone Man is working on his follow-up to 2017’s massive Human, one of the fastest selling debuts by a male artist across the last decade.

“Standon Calling has been one of those festivals I’ll always tell my mates to go to because the vibe is always great,” he said of the announcement, “so I’m pretty hyped to be playing it again next year.”

Other artists on the bill include Echo & The Bunnymen, Idles, Lewis Capaldi, Kate Nash, The Big Moon, Band of Skulls, The Go! Team, Sea Girls, The Joy Formidable, Warmduscher, Erol Alkan, and Simian Mobile Disco.

Roisin Murphy, Mahalia, Steam Down, Kawala, Emma McGrath, Fangclub, Babeheaven and Hattie Whitehead have also recently joined the line-up for the festival, taking place in Hertfordshire this July.

Russell Kane and Angela Barnes will headline the comedy stage, alongside household names such as Abandoman, Jen Brister, Sarah Keyworth, Amy Gledhill, Jacob Hawley and Cally Beaton.
