A huge number of tickets will be released across the two months.
Las Vegas indie rockers The Killers have confirmed details of a huge outdoor gig.
The newly announced show will see Brandon Flowers and his band headline Cardiff Castle on Friday 28 June 2019.
The gig is part of Cardiff’s Sounds of the City series, which will also see headline shows from Manic Street Preachers and Paul Weller.
Since breaking through in 2004 with their debut album Hot Fuss, The Killers have become one of the biggest bands on the planet.
Spawning the singles Mr Brightside, Somebody Told Me, All These Things That I’ve Done and Smile Like You Mean It , the album debuted at No.1 on the official UK albums chart. In 2013, Rolling Stone magazine listed it as one of their top 100 greatest debut albums of all time.
Since Hot Fuss, The Killers have gone onto release four more studio albums; Sam’s Town in 2006, Day & Age in 2008, Battle Born in 2012 and the band’s most recent effort, 2017’s Wonderful Wonderful. Each album debuted at No.1 on the Official UK Albums Chart.
Some of the band’s other best-known tracks include Human, The Man, Shot at the Night, Read My Mind and their highest charting UK single to date When You Were Young.
A huge live draw, The Killers have sold out stadiums and arenas all over the world. They last playing in South Wales when they headlined a sold-out show at Swansea’s Liberty Stadium.
The Killers have also performed headline slots at festivals such as Reading and Leeds, TRNMST and British Summer Time. The band are also currently gearing up to headline the world-famous Glastonbury Festival for the second time this summer.
The Killers will be performing in Cardiff as part of Sounds of the City this June.
