The Libertines announce huge Newcastle show with Maximo Park

The Libertines are set to play Live From Times Square in Newcastle this August with support from Maximo Park and Black Waters.

Iconic English rockers Peter Doherty, Carl Barat, Gary Powell and John Hassall have just announced a massive show at Newcastle’s Live From Times Square Festival taking place on 3 August 2017. As The Libertines, they’ll be supported by Newcastle-natives Maximo Park and indie-punk band Black Waters.

After a ten year hiatus, the Libertines returned in 2015 with a new record, a massive tour and various festival appearances including a headline slot at Reading & Leeds. The band also played a special charity show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton last year in support of Hope Not Hate.

With new solo projects for Peter Doherty (with his record Hamburg Demonstrations), Carl Barat (he’s working on new material with The Jackals) and bassist John Hassall (who’s released Wheels to Idyll with his band April Rainers), there is no slowing down for these likely lads.

Catch them together on the 3 August 2017.

Tickets will be on sale from 10:00 on Thursday 6 April 2017 via Ticketmaster.co.uk.
