The Wailers confirm UK tour dates

Legendary Reggae group The Wailers have confirmed they’ll be coming to the UK for a headline tour in March 2019, and tickets are available now.

The newly announced tour kicks off in Newcastle on 8 March 2019, taking in a total of 14 shows and finishes at London’s indigo at The O2 on 23 March 2019.

The Wailers found worldwide recognition and fame for their collaborative work with Bob Marley. Between 1972 to 1980, the band toured the world and sold millions of records with their unique and innovative sound.

After Bob Marley’s untimely passing in 1981, bassist and founding member Aston “Familyman” Barrett promised to keep the band touring and making music, to preserve the memory and spread the message of his dear friend through music.

The new tour will be led by Barrett, who will be also be joined by original guitarist Donald Kinsey as well as saxophonist Glen DeCosta.

Accompanying the legends on stage will be a host of talented musicians including bass guitarist Owen “Dreadie” Reid, frontman Joshua David Barrett, Andres Lopen on keyboards and Anne-Marie Thompson.

The tour will see The Wailers perform songs from the iconic Legend album, including classics such as Three Little Birds, I Shot the Sheriff, Jammin’ and more.
