The Who to headline Saturday Isle of Wight Festival 2016

The Who will return to Isle of Wight Festival this summer, topping the Saturday night bill for 2016.

Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend and co will bring their Hits 50! tour to Seaclose Park on Saturday 11 June, making it their fourth time as headliners at the festival.

Richard Ashcroft is also confirmed as special guest.

Fans can expect to hear the rockers’ hugest hits like Won’t Get Fooled Again, Baba O’Reilly, The Seeker, Pinball Wizard, Who Are You and My Generation.

Festival boss John Giddings says: “The Who are part of the fabric of The Isle of Wight Festival, and it’s great to welcome them back to the island as part of their ongoing 50th anniversary celebrations.

“We’re proud to have a line up of homegrown headliners to help celebrate our own 15th anniversary and ensure that this year delivers yet another unforgettable weekend of music.”

The Who join a host of confirmed acts including Queen + Adam Lambert, Stereophonics, Faithless,  Jess Glynne, Busted, The Corrs, Twin Atlantic, Sigma and Pendulum (DJ Set).
