Due to incredible demand, Vampire Weekend have added a second London date to their upcoming UK tour.

The new date will see the band perform at Alexandra Palace on Thursday 14 November 2019.

Earlier this month the band released their highly anticipated fourth album Father of the Bride. The record is the band’s first release in nearly six years and their first release on major label Columbia Records. The album received widespread critical acclaim and debuted at No.2 on the Official UK Albums Chart.

Father of the Bride features the singles Harmony Hall, 2021, Sunflower, Big Blue, This Life and Unbearably White.

Earlier this week the band dropped the official video for This Life, featuring Danielle Haim. Check out the visuals below:

Vampire Weekend broke through in 2008 with the release of their self-titled debut LP. The eponymous record, which has been certified platinum in both the UK and US, was both a commercial and critical success, with Rolling Stone magazine naming the LP as one of the top 100 greatest debut albums of all time.

Since their debut effort, Vampire Weekend have gone onto release three more studio albums, Contra in 2010, Modern Vampires of the City in 2013 and the recently released Father of the Bride. Modern Vampires of the City earned the band their first Grammy Award in 2014, taking home the prize for the Best Alternative Music Album.

Some of Vampire Weekend’s most well-known tracks include A-PunkOxford Comma, Cousins and Diane Young.

Vampire Weekend will be bringing their new album Father of the Bride to life across the UK in November.
