Celebrating the release of their new album, Sunnyland, Mayday Parade’s Derek Sanders, Jeremy Lenzo and Alex Garcia visited Ticketmaster HQ in London to perform stripped back versions of two new tracks; It’s Hard To Be Religions When Certain People Are Never Incinerated By Bolts Of Lightning and Piece Of Your Heart.

The band, who followed the session with an appearance at Download Festival, recently dropped their sixth studio album, having emerged in 2007 with their highly influential debut A Lesson In Romantics.

The album marks the first on new label Rise Records, having previously worked with Fearless Records and Atlantic.

With over a decade experience under their belts, Sanders, Lenzo and Garcia (usually joined by Brooks Betts and Jake Bundrick) discussed their newfound comfort in touring and performing live, reminiscing about anxious experiences in the past.

Mayday Parade have celebrated success with the likes of singles Jamie All Over, Anywhere But Here (the title track to their 2009 sophomore release) and their cover of Gotye’s Somebody That I Used To Know.
