We spoke to the band backstage at TRNSMT Festival.
New Music / Interview
We spoke to the alternative pop duo about making music together.
Meeting at Ealing Chess Club, Charlie Brown and Jules Konieczny bonded over a shared loved of mid-noughties indie and decided to start making music together.
Rehearsing in the back room of the aforementioned chess club, the duo became increasingly confident in their musical output, putting out a series of independently released tracks online throughout 2018, quickly building a dedicated following.
The attention APRE received caught the ears of major label Polydor (The 1975, Years & Years, Sam Fender) who quickly signed them up to record and release what is sure to be a hotly anticipated debut record.
Filmed during festival season, in this interview the band give fans the lowdown on their shared musical influences, what it’s like writing music as a partnership, and what fans can expect from them in the future.
