Ticketmaster New Music is a carefully curated selection, showcasing artists we are expecting to make waves in the live music scene. Working closely with record labels, live event promoters and talent agents, our in-house experts handpick the most exciting emerging music.

About Work The Dancefloor is a song written in response to the clubbing culture I experienced in cities whilst touring,” says multi-instrumentalist Georgia of her latest bop, “going out and getting that emotion or sensation from a collective energy in various spaces. It’s that stuff of old school disco, the thrill of the dance floor”

The new track certainly delivers. Taking the listener on a pulsating journey intertwining old school dance sounds with modern pop, the tune nails that feeling of sounding familiar and completely brand new at the same. About Work The Dancefloor is a rather pleasing 3:30 minutes in length, enough to feel you leaving satisfied, whilst also making you want to hit the repeat button.

The new track is the musician’s hotly anticipated follow up to her recent hit single Started Out, which reached the A-list on BBC Radio 1, broke into the top 15 most Shazammed songs in the world and has been streamed more than 4 million times.

Whilst rooted in the house music that flooded out of Chicago throughout the ’80s, Georgia pulls her music into the modern day with serious style and panache. Those who are fans of artists such as Robyn and La Roux will more than likely find themselves falling for the musician’s unique sound.

Born and raised in North West London with dance music in her blood (her dad is one half of the legendary Leftfield), Georgia first broke through in 2015 with her home-recorded, written, performed and produced self-titled debut album released on Domino Records.

After taking a bit of time out to reset and hone her craft, the Londoner is now back with an updated sound and a vibrancy which is sure to light up stages over the coming months.

After packing out her stage at last weekend’s The Great Escape Festival, Georgia heads out on a small run of headline dates this May, followed by an appearance on the BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage at Reading and Leeds this August.
