Wilderness announce Letters Live, Will Young, Laura Mvula and more
Letters Live, Laura Mvula, Will Young and more join Wilderness‘ huge line-up.
Wilderness have announced details of their Saturday Night Spectacle, a collaboration with Chris Levine and IY_Project. As a festival first, Chris Levine brings the show’s unique installation in a UK exclusive for 2017 to Wilderness. It promises a vision to a scale never seen before in the Spectacle’s history.
Elsewhere, Letters Live, which has become known for attracting outstanding talents to perform remarkable letters written over the centuries in front of a live audience, comes to Wilderness on the Sunday night.
Each show is decidedly unique, and details of who will be performing is kept closely guarded until the event itself. Previous Letters Live appearances include Benedict Cumberbatch, Jude Law, Ian McKellen, Kylie Minogue, Russell Brand, Caitlin Moran, Stephen Fry, Tom Hiddleston, Sally Hawkins and Sir Ben Kingsley.
“We are itching to finally bring Letters Live to Wilderness and determined to seduce the crowds with a stellar cast of performers reading some of the greatest correspondence ever to have been written,” the Letters Live team revealed. “To be doing so in such a gorgeous setting is the icing on an already irresistible cake.”
Also announced is A Sunday of Nina Simone with special guests Laura Mvula and Will Young, as well as Honeyfeet’s Rioghnach Connolly, The Ronnie Scott’s Club Trio and Paul Robinson, Nina Simone’s drummer for two decade.

The event, running from the 3 – 6 August 2017 at Cornbury Park in Oxfordshire, already has confirmed the likes of Two Door Cinema Clue, Grace Jones, Bonobo Live and First Aid Kit for the Main Stage.
