Here's what we learned from our evening in the stunning surroundings.

One of the best things about the run up to Christmas, as Autumn gives way to Winter is the opening of London’s seasonal Ice Rinks.

Boasting the best quality ice in the capital, set in the middle of the elegant and picturesque Somerset House, Skate really is the best of the best.

Every part of their unique winter experience has been carefully thought out, from the high quality of rental ice skates, to the specially curated programme of ‘Skate Lates’ music nights hosted throughout the season.

The Skate Lodge has an excellent range of alcoholic drinks including some delicious winter warmers, which you can enjoy before or after your skate whilst soaking up the atmosphere.

With the hugely impressive Christmas tree standing tall, no matter how early in the season you go, it is almost impossible not to get into the Christmas spirit.

With no apologies made for this terrible pun: get your skates on… you really would be a fool to miss out.
