A season of Harold Pinter's one-act plays celebrate his legacy.
Mr Popper’s Penguins is heading to the SEC in Glasgow this December and January.
From Tuesday 18 December 2018 until Sunday 6 January 2019, Lomond Auditorium, SEC will be home to a fun-filled hit musical production starring Richard Holt and Monica Nash in the roles of Mr & Mrs Popper.
Based on Richard and Florence Atwater’s popular book (which was also made into a Hollywood film starring Jim Carrey), audiences will be transported into the exciting and hilarious lives of the family and their penguin guests.
The story follows the pleasant and predictable Popper family, who receive a mysterious package. The package contains a family of mischievous penguins and in turn introduces a whirlwind of chaos and adventure into their lives. Follow their wild antics in the small town of Stillwater, as this magical family musical is brought to life on stage this Christmas.
With original music and lyrics by the award-winning Richy Hughes and Luke Bateman, and lots of laughs guaranteed, this hilarious production is the perfect holiday treat.
The fast-paced show directed by Emma Earle features a remarkable family of penguin puppets and original songs like Chills 4 U and Poles Apart.
From the Kenny Wax Family Entertainment group, who also brought you productions of We’re Going on a Bear Hunt and What the Ladybird Heard, Mr Popper’s Penguins is a must-see event this festive season.
Various show times are available from Tuesday 18 December 2018 until Sunday 6 January 2019.
