Secret Cinema Presents Romeo + Juliet
See the greatest love story in an immersive experience.
Secret Cinema is returning this summer with Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic love tragedy Romeo and Juliet.
After a successful run with Secret Cinema Presents Blade Runner – The Final Cut: A Secret Live Experience earlier this year, fans will be able to head to a secret outdoor location in London between 9 – 19 August 2018 to watch the classic film in an immersive, outdoor cinema experience.
This time, they are launching a festival-type event and will transform the secret London-based location into a spectacular multi-layered world of Verona Beach, where audiences will be transported right in the middle of the sparring war between the houses of Montague and Capulet.
This is set to be the largest experience Secret Cinema have produced so far, bringing live music such as bands, DJs, choirs and artists together in front of an audience of almost 5,000 people each night.
Released almost 22 years ago, the film staring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes remains a beloved classic for many. It follows two star-crossed lovers, Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, whose story ends in tragedy due to their rivalling families.
