Here’s what happened as last week’s UFC weigh-ins

Last Friday Ticketmaster visited the weigh-ins for UFC Fight Night London.

The afternoon started with a media scrum (literally) backstage for a Q&A with a host of fighters including up-and-comer Mickey Gall, heavyweight Phenom Francis Ngannou, No.1 contender Claudia Gadelha and the UFC heroine Miesha Tate who recently retired. It was a great opportunity to see these fighters up close and personal and listen to some of their opinions on the latest fighter movements including the Bisping v GSP fight.

Following the scrum we were then ushered into the main arena to see what the fans had to say. There were some tasking questions but mostly love for Miesha Tate from each of the fans.

Topping off the day were the weigh-ins, which as always provided the entertainment and didn’t disappoint. It was great to see some debuting English fighters making the most of the opportunity and hyping the crowd, which also prompted one section to chant “Yorkshire, Yorkshire, Yorkshire”.

Jimi Manuwa came out to a huge welcome from the British crowd which obviously spurred him on for Saturday, where he knocked his opponent Corey Anderson out in the first round.
