Ticketmaster caught up with Spurs legend Ledley King

We caught up with Spurs’ former captain, Ledley King, at the White Hart Lane Community Sports Centre ahead of his anticipated testimonial match on Monday 12 May at White Hart Lane. Ledley will lead a team of former Spurs players who have all played alongside him during his footballing career in a clash against Tottenham’s current first team. Tottenham will be saluting Ledley’s achievements of both playing an astonishing 323 performances in 13 years as well as being heavily involved in his local community and regeneration projects for the youth of today. This match promises to be a special night of nostalgia, high energy, emotion and most importantly, commemoration.

Ledley has chosen three charities close to his heart which will benefit from the valuable funds raised at this Testimonial match: Tottenham Hotspur Foundation’s Skills project, The Willow Foundation and Bowel Cancer Awareness UK. Skills encourages youngsters to stay away from crime and anti-social behaviour and provides them with a safe haven that encourages sporting and educational activities. The Willow Foundation supports seriously ill 16 – 40 year olds by providing unique and positive Special Days. Bowel Cancer Awareness UK raises awareness and educates people about the various treatments available for those affected with this condition and their families.
