Sergei Polunin will be bringing Project Polunin’s Satori to the London Coliseum from the 5 – 10 December 2017.

Organisers have now announced that they’ll be a special performance of the groundbreaking Take Me To Church solo, choreographed by Jade Hale Christofi, and danced by Polunin. The dance is based on David LaChapelle’s video, which went viral in 2015. The special matinee performance will take place on Sunday 10 December 2017.

The special matinee will also include Christian Spuck’s Le Grand Pas de Deux, What Love Tells Me by John Neumeier, Memoria, Rhapsody Pas de Deux, Diana and Actaeon and Satori by Sergei Polunin.

The remainder of the December run will see performances of First Solo, Scriabiniana and Satori.

Joining Polunin in Goleizovsky’s Scriabiniana will be Natalia Osipova, Valentino Zucchetti and Akane Takada from The Royal Ballet, Yaoqian Shang from Birmingham Royal Ballet, Laurretta Summerscales and Yonah Acosta from Bayerisches Staatsballett, Alexey Lyubimov from The Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre, Evgenia Savarskaya from Bolshoi Ballet, Jason Reilly and Elisa Badenes from Stuttgart Ballet and Alexandre Riabko and Silvia Azzoni from Hamburg Ballet.

The cast for Satori includes Sergei Polunin, Natalia Osipova, Jason Reilly, Alexey Lyubimov and The Royal Ballet School Junior Associate Thomas Waddington.

As previously announced, Polunin will star in First Solo.

Scriabiniana and Satori will be accompanied by the Orchestra of English National Opera, conducted by Gavin Sutherland.

First Solo is a seven minute ballet created by Andrey Kaydanovskiy, a demi soloist at the Ballett der Wiener Staatsoper und Volksoper.

The performances will also feature the London premiere of the most complete version of Kasyan Goleizovsky’s ballet suite, Scriabiniana.

The world premiere of Satori is choreographed by Sergei Polunin, with direction by Gabriel Marcel del Vecchio and an original score by German-born Lorenz Dangel, who has won multiple awards for his film scores.

Project Polunin aims to convey the joy of dance through theatre, live broadcast, film, social media platforms and virtual reality, and, by collaborating with dancers, filmmakers, musicians, writers and artists, to create new works that will reflect our times as well as preserving and celebrating the history of classical dance. Project Polunin will strive to demonstrate the unifying power of dance.

Tickets for Project Pulunin, running from the 5 – 10 December 2017 at the London Coliseum and including a very special matinee show on the 10 December, are available now through Ticketmaster.co.uk.
