Disney’s Aladdin extends festive West End run

The West End musical will now run until 5 January 2019.

Disney’s Aladdin the Musical has announced new shows to celebrate the festive period. There will be additional performance from 17 December 2018 until 5 January 2019 at London’s Prince Edward Theatre.

The musical, based on the iconic animated movie, features all the favourite songs from the feature length including A Whole New World, Friend Like Me, Arabian Nights and more.

The West End production, delivering spectacular theatrical magic, stars Matthew Croke in the lead role, joined by Trevor Dion Nicholas as Genie and Jade Ewen as Jasmine.

We recently visited the Disney’s Aladdin theatre to catch up with the award winning Trevor Dion Nicholas behind the curtain, meeting the cast and crew making the production possible.

Disney’s Aladdin opened on Broadway in 2014 before transferring to London’s West End in 2016. Matthew Croke too on the title role a year into the production’s run.

Last year the West End production was nominated for an Olivier Award for it’s stunning set design, as well as winning a WhatsOnStage Award for Gregg Barnes’ costume design.

It has been mesmerising theatre goers across the globe, bringing the magic of the original movie to the stage.

The musical will now run until 5 January 2019, with tickets for the new dates going on sale now.
