Drop everything… full cast and creatives confirmed for Bat Out Of Hell

Plus, you can TODAY see Meat Loaf introduce the cast in a live performance right outside the London Coliseum to mark the occasion!

Here’s everything you need to know: The world premiere of Jim Steinman’s Bat Out Of Hell will take place at the London Coliseum next June. This will follow previews at Manchester Opera House from 17 February to 8 April 2017.

Released in 1977, Bat Out Of Hell became one of the best-selling albums in history, with Bat Out Of Hell II: Back Into Hell – containing the massive hit I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That) –also becoming a huge success 16 years later.

For the stage musical, Steinman has incorporated all the iconic songs from both albums – including You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth, Bat Out Of Hell and Two Out Of Three Ain’t Bad – as well as two previously unreleased songs: What Part of My Body Hurts the Most and Not Allowed to Love.

Bat Out Of Hell – The Musical is a romantic adventure set against the backdrop of a post-cataclysmic city. It follows the love story between Strat, the forever-young leader of The Lost, and Raven, daughter of Falco, the tyrannical ruler of Obsidian.

Now the show confirms its full cast, including newcomer Andrew Polec as Strat, Christina Bennington as Raven, and Rob Fowler as Falco. Also starring are Sharon Sexton as Sloane,  Aran MacRae as Tink, Danielle Steers as Zahara, Dom Hartley-Harris as Jagwire, Giovanni Spano as Ledoux and Patrick Sullivan as Blake.

The show is being directed by award-winning theatre and opera director Jay Sheib, who is known for his genre-defying works of daring physicality and his integration of new technologies into live performance.

With the cast now raring to go, Meat Loaf himself will introduce the stars of the show for a special live performance outside the London Coliseum from 17:00 TODAY – to coincide with the show going on general sale.
