Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play to open on West End in 2016

J.K. Rowling has confirmed plans to bring her Harry Potter and the Cursed Child stage play to London’s West End next year.

AMAZING.

The new production will form the ‘untold part’ of the young wizard’s story, including more detail on his infamous parents before they were killed by Lord Voldemort.

Written by Jack Thorne and directed by John Tiffany, the new play will open at the Palace Theatre (current home to The Commitments) in summer 2016.

Today also marks the 18th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the first book in the hugely successful series.

More details as we get them!
