Katherine Jenkins and Alfie Boe confirmed for Carousel

Katherine Jenkins will make her West End debut in Carousel, joined by Alfie Boe at London’s Coliseum.

Jenkins will play the role of Julie Jordan, with Boe as Billy Bigelow in the semi-stage production.

Voted the Best Musical of the 20th Century by Time Magazine, Carousel was last performed in London by Opera North at the Barbican in 2012, following a 2008 revival at the Savoy Theatre.

The new production will feature a full cast, choir and English National Opera orchestra, produced by Michael Linnit and Michael Grade. It is scheduled to run from 7 April to 31 May 2017.

Jenkins has previously performed tracks from the musical, including You’ll Never Walk Alone. The clip below showcases one of those performance, but please note, it’s not taken from the forthcoming production.
