It’s just over a month until Louis Smith, Harry Judd and Aston Merrygold hit the road for the new Rip It Up tour, bringing the swinging ’60s to venues across the UK.

The tour follows the success of last year’s Dancing Through The 50s shows, borne out of the trio’s respective appearances on BBC staple Strictly Come Dancing.

Gymnast Smith won the acclaimed dancing competition in 2012, two years after touring partner and McFly drummer Harry Judd took the crown. The pair are joined by Aston Merrygold, who became a firm fan favourite on last year’s series.

The trio will be joined by the Rip It Up live band to deliver iconic songs from the ’60s, a decade that brought the world Mersey Beat, Motown, Mod and Woodstock, among others.

They’ll be dancing to songs from legendary artists such as The Beatles, The Who, Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, Simon & Garfunkel and more.

The show also features others huge names from the decade, from Motown stars Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and The Supremes to the King of Rock‘n’Roll Elvis Presley, as well as soul classics like Aretha Franklin and James Brown.

Dancing up and down the country through September and October, don’t miss the show that celebrates some of the most iconic sounds, sights and events from that tumultuous period which transformed the 20th century.
