One of the world’s best-selling artists of all time, Tina Turner has won 12 Grammy Awards and her live shows have been seen by millions, with more concert tickets sold than any other solo performer in music history.

Written by the Oliver Award-winning playwright Katori Hall (The Mountaintop) and internationally acclaimed director Phyllida Lloyd (MAMMA MIA!), TINA – The Tina Turner Musical charts the life of Tina and her incredible career.

What is TINA – The Tina Turner Musical about?

From humble beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, to her transformation into the global Queen of Rock’n’Roll, Tina Turner didn’t just break the rules, she rewrote them. In this new stage musical, the audience will discover the untold story of a woman who dared to defy the bounds of her age, gender and race.

Featuring much-loved songs including Proud Mary, What’s Love Got to Do With It, Simply the Best and Private Dancer, the musical charts Tina’s early career alongside her husband Ike – exploring their tumultuous relationship – and Tina’s success in later life as a rock legend.

Who stars in TINA?

Taking over from Adrienne Warren, Nkeki Obi-Melekwe makes her West End debut in the title role of Tina Turner. The performer made her professional Off-Broadway debut last month in Alice and her television credits include Showtime’s Smilf and Bull for CBS.

She’s joined by Ashley Zhangazha as Ike Turner, Irene-Myrtle Forrester as GG, Francesca Jackson as Rhonda and Maria Omakinwa as Zelma.
