Peter Kay’s Car Share is on the road to more success

See a special screening of the BAFTA Award-winning TV show at Blackpool Opera House and help out a good cause.

Bones schmones, you haven’t been brainwashed! Peter Kay has just announced selected episodes from the second series of his BBC comedy Car Share will premiere in Blackpool on Friday 31 March with profits going to The Gordon Thorpe Appeal.

When Car Share came out in 2015, it was an instant hit with viewers. The premise was simple: two supermarket colleagues – John (played by prolific stand-up comedian Kay) and Kayleigh (played by Sian Gibson) – were forced to commute to work together as part of a company car-share initiative. So each episode involved a hilarious journey in a little red Fiat 500 filled with awkward conversation, silly banter and car games as well as insights into these characters’ lives.

For the upcoming second series, it turns out John and Kayleigh will be making their daily journey separately. Grab a seat in Blackpool to find out first what’s in store for them. Not only will you enjoy watching Car Share against the backdrop of the stunning Blackpool Opera House at the Winter Gardens, but you’ll also be able to help a family from Wigan. Husband and father Gordon Thorpe was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year and his family have launched an appeal to fund a potentially life-changing treatment.

Filled with laughter and great entertainment, this is sure to be a moving evening you’ll always remember.

Tickets for Peter Kay’s charity screening of Car Share go on sale at 09:00 Saturday 18 March 2017 at Ticketmaster.co.uk.
