Peter Pan set to return to London

The classic tale opens at the brand new Troubadour White City Theatre this summer.

The National Theatre’s production of JM Barrie’s classic tale Peter Pan is set to return to London later this year.

Peter Pan will be showing at the Troubadour White City Theatre between 20 July – 27 October 2019.

Described as “unforgettable and delightful” by The Guardian, the magic-filled tale tells the story of the leader of the Lost Boys Peter Pan, who loses his shadow on a visit to London. Wendy helps Peter to reattach it and in return, she is invited to Neverland, where Tinker Bell, Tiger Lily and the fearsome Captain Hook await them.

The production was first seen at Bristol Old Vic and reconceived at The National Theatre in 2016. The show features aerial acrobatics alongside live music from the on stage band.

The National Theatre production of Peter Pan will be directed by Olivier Award-winner Sally Cookson (Jane Eyre, A Monster Calls), with music by Benji Bower and costume design by Kate Sykes.

Casting will be announced soon.

The Troubadour White City Theatre is a brand new theatre opening at White City Place, the former BBC Media Village in West London. The venue consists of a 1,200 capacity full flexible theatre and an 800 capacity multi-purpose state of the art theatre. Troubadour White City Theatre is located minutes away from Westfield London.

Created by Scottish novelist and playwright JM Barrie in the early 1900s, the character Peter Pan has become a worldwide symbol of youthfulness and escapism. The boy who never grew up has appeared in numerous books, plays and notably in the 1953 Walt Disney animated film Peter Pan.

Funny, moving and suitable for all ages, the National Theatre’s production of Peter Pan is showing at the brand new Troubadour White City Theatre between 20 July – 27 October 2019.

Tickets to see Peter Pan at the Troubadour White City Theatre will be available from 10:00 Friday 7 June 2019 through Ticketmaster.co.uk
